Cinderella Man is a movie about boxer James J. Braddock. It starts with winning what appears to be his last fight before the Stock Market Crash of 1929. Then we see his family struggling to make ends meet due to having lost most of their money. James is on a bit of a loosing streak and because of this people began to think he was washed up. That led to the revoking of his boxing license. With no income Braddock faced hard times, but not as bad as some people who were forced to live in "Hooverville" turned to Public Relief. However his luck starts to change when boxing offers him a deal that he can fight one last fight. Knowing he would loose the boxing commission didn't worry that he did not have a license. However when he wins they agree to let him continue fighting until he loses. He fights his way to the top to finally defeat Max Baer and become the new heavy weight champion.
